Vic Day - Saturday, March 7, 2009

Who is Vic and why do I want to meet him?

Vic Dakita is the sales manager for Northcott Fabrics. He is a great guy with a very charming personality. He will be here to show us how fabric goes from just an idea someone has in mind to a bolt in a quilt shop. He will also teach us the process a buyer goes through shopping for fabric by letting you, our customers, choose our next collection from Northcott fabrics.

There is a slight charge of $5 for the event, but we will give your fee back to you in the form of a store credit to be used that day. You can sign up for the morning session (10am-12pm) or afternoon session (2pm-4pm.). Sign up now....spaces are limited.

Challenge for Charity - Summer 2007

THANKS FOR MAKING A BLOCK FOR CHARITY
2nd Annual Challenge for Charity to Benefit Columbus Hospice

Click on ticketmaster to buy your tickets today!

Congratulations to our winners for the best blocks:
Jennifer Ray & Karen Stuart.

Thanks to all of your that made a block for our 2nd Annual Challenge for Charity.  Our judges had a hard time choosing, they were all so beautiful.  We will let you know when the quilts will be displayed and when the raffle tickets will go on sale.  Remember, all proceeds will go to the Columbus Hospice, and the winner will be drawn on the night of the Denim & Diamonds Gala.

Sew Much Fun and Columbus Hospice are teamed up again this year to raise money for a great cause.  This event was “Sew Much Fun” last year!

Each quilter received 5 pieces of fabric and was given only 2 weeks to create a 12½” square.  These squares were judged on their creativity and by category.  The categories were beginner, intermediate, and advanced quilters.  The winners received a FREE class of their choice and, of course, all the fame and glory one person can handle.

The cost for joining the challenge was only $10.  The money collected from the quilters helped defray the cost of the fabrics, batting and quilting of the finished tops.  You can still see the quilts from last year’s Challenge below.

Pillowcases for Christmas - Christmas Season 2005

138! Thanks so much! Bringing Holiday Cheer to Area Nursing Homes

UPDATE---You never let us down!  A big thank you for all the pillowcases brought in for the nursing home.  We ended up with 138, and we delivered them to the Pine and Oak manor nursing homes to show the residents that their community really cares about them.

Challenge for Charity - May-July 2005

We give you Princess - Voted Best by Our Customers Sew Much Fun Teams with Columbus Hospice

We want to thank everyone that participated in the Challenge for Charity event.  Denim and Diamonds was a huge success.  Congratulations to Cheryl Nagasaki and Jo Ann Laney for each winning a quilt.  We also want to highlight and congratulate Martha Jones for winning the 2nd part of our Challenge - Voted Best Quilt Top (the Jenny Beyer quilt).

Sew Much Fun and Columbus Hospice have teamed up to create not only a fun event but a way that we can help raise money for a great charity. Sew Much Fun will be donating the fabrics for Challenge #1, and the money collected from the quilters will be used to help defray the costs of quilting the finished tops. Teresa Singleton will be donating part of the quilting. Once these quilts are completed, they will be on display at Sew Much Fun until they are raffled at the annual Columbus Hospice Denim and Diamonds Gala in July. Each chance to win will be sold for $25. Our goal is to sell 1,000 tickets. WOW!!! That would be $25,000 for Charity. Don’t miss your chance to be part of helping our community… come on girls, let’s let Columbus see how creative you are while doing it for a great cause.

Grand Opening - August 2004

Dear Friends,
Grand Opening
Thank you for a Super fantastic opening. The friends I have made in the past four months still make me wonder how any one person could be so blessed. I know that God put me here for a reason, and when you follow his lead, he will definitely bless you as he has me with you and your friendship.

I am still amazed at all the great works of art that I have seen pass into these doors. I can't wait to see what you do next. The girls and I are ready to kick off a New Year learning and sewing as much as we possibly can. Creativity is what we love the most, and we hope you will come and create your newest projects with us. We are getting lots of new goodies in from Fall Market, and we have a lot of new classes to offer as well as some you might have missed the first time. So don't waste anymore time; come on in and have Sew Much Fun!
